The primary objective of this courseware is to teach the student the basic tools and techniques necessary for professionals to create M&E plans using AutoCAD MEP 2010. Upon completion of the course, the student will: Lay out schematic plumbing diagrams. Place plumbing fixtures and pipes in drawings. Use Autodesk MEP 2010 to automatically size pipes. Label and annotate drawings. Create schedule tables for pipes and fixtures. Create schedule tables for electrical devices. Set up Mechanical Drawings. Add HVAC Equipment. Check for Interference. Suitable for: Existing AutoCAD users who are new to AutoCAD MEP 2010. Those who want to create intelligent 3D Building System models and associated drawings.

About this course
Previous AutoCAD experience is necessary. Drafting, design, or engineering experience is a plus. It is recommended that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Vista.

MEP 2010 training begins with a brief overview of the product and a look at the User interface.
Following the overview, Students will learn through a series of lectures and hands-on exercises how to use a collection of tools that are common to all three modules (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing). In addition, they will also review tools that are common to AutoCAD Architecture 2010.
