Students on this course can expect to receive expert tuition in the most commonly-used language items of the aviation industry. Students can expect to develop not only the terminology of aviation, but also expand on their existing knowledge of the subject matter through real-life case studies and a range of published resources using the highest standards of pedagogy.
Upon arrival, your level will be assessed and your specific learning targets will be mapped into an individualised study programme with our friendly and experienced teachers. The central principle of our syllabus is the “70-30 rule”, which provides 70% syllabus content with 30% of flexible teaching to meet each student’s specific needs.

About this course
The course is structured in a way to improve student motivation and encourage independent study through personalised content appropriate to your needs. Regular homework and weekly assessment will enable students to review the language to improve learning. Student tutorials with our expert teaching staff provide students with opportunities to talk about progress and learning techniques.
As part of our ongoing commitment to our stakeholders, BSMI provides academic assistance to students looking to go to university, as well as providing extra services such as CV checker, guidance on developing Linkedin profiles and using social media for digital marketing.
This course is designed for students within or looking to join the aviation industry. Students who have background knowledge of the sector through relevant work experience will have an advantage over those who are new to the sector, but we are willing to consider all students on a case-by-case basis.
This course is intended for students looking to develop core vocabulary and an understanding of topics and trends within the flight sector.
The English for the Aviation Industry course is open to students who have relevant work experience with no formal qualifications. However, each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
English language requirements: Students on this course will need to demonstrate a level of English equivalent to CEFR B1 / IELTS 4.0 to enter. Students demonstrating a lower level of English will be given full support in meeting the required entry requirements.
