This qualification provides the opportunity to develop an understanding of different perspectives of death and dying, and the impact it has on individuals. It covers the aims and principles of end of life care, communication factors and how to access a range of support services in end of life care and is delivered by specialist staff from North London Hospice.
What qualifications or experience do I need ?No formal entry requirements are required, however Level 1 Literacy must be demonstrated. It is appropriate for those who are looking to develop their knowledge in this area. This could include workers and volunteers in hospices, care homes, care in the community and primary care
What will I study ?To study for the Level 2 Award in Awareness of End of Life Care, learners must attend classes for 2 days and achieve 3 credits from 1 mandatory unit.
How will I be assessed ?You will be assessed through classwork and written assessment by your tutor or assessor.
What qualifications could I achieve ?Level 2 Award in Awareness of End of Life Care.
