A supported internship is a programme of study designed to better enable young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to achieve sustainable paid employment by equipping them with the skills they need for the workplace.It is ideal if you are progressing within the College.

Course programme
The course focuses on employment. It is a three day programme which will centre on a place of employment for two days a week and one day at College. The structured study programme includes on-the-job training provided by expert job coaches (if needed); this will be gradually reduced as and when appropriate for your needs.
There is a chance to study the OCR Cambridge Progression in English and Maths and Work preparation if approrpiate.
You will also participate in enterprise activities and undertake a work placement (supported if necessary).
There is the opportunity for employment.
Assessment is ongoing through the academic year.
