Course programme
You will study childrens learning, childrens development, professional practice and the health and wellbeing of children. You will also be able to choose from a range of options, enabling you to engage your own specific interests in a specialist field such as welfare or education.
Units you will study-
Year 1
In Year 1 you will study both of your combined honours subjects equally. In early years, you will study the two core units detailed below - childrens learning and development, and childrens services: policy and practice

Year 2
In Year 2 you can continue with equal study or choose a minor route. The units you study will depend on the route you have chosen and currently include further studies in childrens learning and development, and citizenship and participation.
Core units are citizenship and participation and children's learning and development as detailed below:
Optional units are creative childhoods and creative leadership as detailed below:

Year 3
In Year 3 you can continue with an equal or minor route. You will continue to study issues in childrens learning and development, and early years and education.
Option units offer further studies in creative leadership; health, community and social care; and creative childhoods.
