Year 1

During the first year of study, all students follow a generic pathway, which equips them with an appreciation of the complex factors that influence children's lives in a range of contexts.

Assessment details

Assessment uses a variety of methods including: essays, group and individual presentations, role play, reports, examinations, research project, dissertation.Students are offered opportunities for individual and small group tutorials to support assessment, learning needs and pastoral issues. As well as this, throughout the year, there are various enrichment weeks covering aspects such as employability, study skills and work related skill development.
