This is a health CPD course for registered nurses wishing to manage teams of nurses working in a primary care setting. We have successfully revalidated our District Nursing programmes in 2013, in line with current changes happening in the National Health Service and in response to our stakeholders needs. This District Nursing (Hons) degree is offered by London South Bank University.

Course Content ModulesThere are two pathways available at BSc, each of which can be taken on a full or part-time basis which will take 1-2 years to complete: BSc District Nursing (V300):
  • Developing Professional Practice for District Nursing 1
  • Developing Professional Practice for District Nursing 2
  • History taking and clinical examination skills
  • Non-Medical Prescribing (V300)
BSc District Nursing (V100):
  • Developing Professional Practice for District Nursing 1
  • Developing Professional Practice for District Nursing 2
  • History taking and clinical examination skills
  • Prescribing from the community practitioners formulary (V100)
  • Prescribing in practice (V100)
  • Plus two optional modules that meet personal and professional requirements from the CPPD portfolio to equate to 40 credits
