Studying musical theatre in London offers wonderful opportunities You will have access to the enormous range of musicals produced at venues from the English National Opera to the tiny King’s Head Theatre. You will be regularly taught by both visiting theatre professionals and core teaching staff, who are themselves either artists or scholars of distinction in the field. In contrast to conservatory programmes that train students exclusively as performers, this degree will help students who wish to explore and improve their own abilities to become resourceful and well-informed performers, theatre-makers, administrators or teachers in the multifaceted musical theatre industry in Britain and many other countries where musicals are produced. Your work will be assessed by a wide variety of methods, including performance presentation, individual research and written self-reflection. In addition to performing, you will have the possibility to specialise in devising/writing and directing and will have the option of creating your own musical revues or cabarets as creative projects.
