BA History and Politics allows students to explore the relationships between contemporary politics and the historical development of the modern world. This inter-disciplinary programme has been designed with flexibility and choice at its heart.
Students are able to determine the balance between history and politics in the second and final years, tailoring their learning to their specific interests. You might want to specialise in a particular country or region, exploring how politics relates to an historical period or a particular nation. For example, you might wish to combine study of the history of Nazism with contemporary Germany or Russian Politics with the history of Stalinism or British history with international relations.
Taught by world leading researchers in the both of School of History and the School of Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies, this degree provides an ideal opportunity for students to explore their own historical and political interests.
