Course programme
Course description: We will use a wide variety of techniques to deliver this course, including lectures, demonstrations, presentations, seminars, group work, simulations and considering case studies, as well as asking for some degree of independent learning from yourself.
This course is demanding of your time and it will be very important to create an effective balance between your personal circumstances and the commitment you will need to make to complete all of the modules. We expect that on average students will need to spend around twelve hours a week studying in addition to the timetabled hours for modules studied.

Entry requirements: This course is designed for students who have achieved 240 credits from a Business Management Foundation Degree and would like to top-up their learning to achieve a BA (Hons) qualification.
Students applying from outside City College Norwich (UEA), and have a similar business related degree to one awarded at this College, will need to successfully compete our Accredited Prior Learning (APL) process before entry to this one year BA (Hons)Top-Up degree.
Applications from students whose first language is not English are welcome. We require evidence of proficiency in English (including writing, speaking, listening and reading), the required minimum is:
IELTS (SELT): 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 in all components)
Or GCSE English A*-C

Learning outcome: The course will develop your skills in work based leadership and management as well as enabling you to work more efficiently and effectively. It will also teach you to consider how an organisation functions, to equip you with the skills to review performance and to manage the career progression of other team members.
This course is just as relevant for students who would like to move into the public sector as the private sector, or for those who would like to become self-employed.
Objective: The aim of this course is to equip you with a wide range of knowledge and practical skills that will enable you to succeed in a business environment.
Assessment: Your work on this course will be assessed by a number of methods including coursework, project work and examination.
Academic progression: Many of our students have gone on to achieve further qualifications such as the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies or a related masters programme.
