Entry requirements
260 UCAS tariff points normally in a minimum of two subject areas plus Level 2 English and Maths.
We also welcome applicants with no formal qualifications. These applications will be considered on an individual basis taking into account their professional/work/life experiences and their ability to engage with and benefit from the course.
International students need to meet our English language requirement at either IELTS at 6.0 or above and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).

Course detail
This course will provide you with an understanding of sexual and violent offenders, psychopaths, the wider causes of crime, the workings of the criminal justice and penal systems in the UK and policing.

A key strength of this course is the Reflections on Work in the Criminological Field module, where you will typically work in areas such as youth offending, victim support, crime prevention, witness support and various policing support roles, including as special constables. This work-based learning provides an invaluable opportunity for you to gain experience in a crime-related field and enhance your chances of finding relevant employment after graduation.
