Course summary
This course will give you the teaching, experience and connections you need to forge a career in events planning and management.

We take advantage of our London location, giving you the opportunity to attend high-profile events and a variety of venues to gain exposure to the industry in action. As well as live event projects, you’ll learn through practical teaching such as case studies and team projects, to understand the fundamentals of event management.
In addition, you will complete a work placement during your studies that will allow you to put theory into practice. This takes place at the end of your second year, and we will support you with finding a placement either in the UK or overseas.

Entry requirements
You will need:
260 UCAS points normally in a minimum of two subject areas
plus GCSE English and Maths at grade A*- C, or equivalent.
International students
International students need to meet our English language requirement at either IELTS at 6.0 or above and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).

Course programme

Course detail
Your modules will give you the foundation needed for management-level roles, from operations and logistics to finance and marketing. You will also have the option to specialise in a specific sector of the events industry through your optional modules.
Your work placement usually commences at the end of your second year of study. You will work at an events-related employer in the UK or overseas. You must complete 40 weeks or a total of 1,400 hours of work and you will be assessed through a work in progress report. This report contributes to the assessment for the Service Industries Dissertation / Business Project module.
