About this Course (This course is validated by the University of Brighton and delivered by Northbrook College) UCAS code: W232 Fees and Finance The Fashion Design BA (Hons) is for students wishing to pursue a career in the fast-moving world of fashion, offering a three year full-time degree programme specialising in womenswear and/or menswear design. This small, award-winning course - one of only seven high-performing courses in the country to have been awarded the prestigious Creative Skillset Accreditation - provides a âboutiqueâ educational experience that stimulates and nurtures individual creative talent and innovation. The course aims to equip students with a range of intellectual, analytical, practical and entrepreneurial skills in preparation for a career in the global fashion industry. 2D and 3D practice focuses on creative pattern cutting, garment construction and tailoring, and printed textiles with learners becoming confident users of CAD for design development, portfolio and presentation. Third year final collections may have the opportunity to be showcased at the prestigious Graduate Fashion Week in London, where they can be seen by the industry and the world's press. The course has excellent industry links with live projects, industrial placements and external competitions. The Fashion Design BA (Hons) is for students wishing to pursue a career in the fast-moving world of fashion, offering a three year full-time degree programme specialising in womenswear and/or menswear design.


This small, award-winning course - one of only seven high-performing courses in the country to have been awarded the prestigious Creative Skillset Accreditation - provides a ‘boutique’ educational experience that stimulates and nurtures individual creative talent and innovation. The course aims to equip students with a range of intellectual, analytical, practical and entrepreneurial skills in preparation for a career in the global fashion industry.

From the beginning of this course students experience workshop skills in illustration and design, pattern cutting, sewing and garment manufacture, printed textiles, knitted textiles,and work across a broad range of design modules that include live industry projects and a full collection.
