Work Placement

Between your Second and Final Years you can add an optional extra year to your degree and spend it taking a year-long, paid work placement in the UK or overseas. Or, if you prefer, you can go on a six-month placement and spend another six-months studying abroad.

A placement is a great chance to see first hand how the finance industry operates. You’ll put your knowledge into practice and build up impressive work-based skills. Your placement employer might even offer you a job once you graduate, using the placement to test you out as a future employee. Recent students have worked with companies including Lloyds Bank and GE Capital.
