Programme Overview

The programme is offered in the following modes of study: Full-time, Part-Time, at the LSM campus in Ealing, London.

The study of Hospitality is characterised by a core curriculum which addresses the management of the key sectors of food/ beverage and accommodation in a service context. This includes the management of hotels and other accommodation provision and catering operations of all types.

Main educational aims of the programme

The main educational aims of Hospitality Industry Management are to provide you, the student, with opportunities to:

  • Access a route to honours for students who have studied a cognate award equivalent to a higher diploma.
  • Study for an honours Level III course that offers flexible delivery, supported by appropriate resources and guidance.
  • Further develop transferable and cognitive skills in preparation for a variety of management-aligned careers or a higher award
  • Evaluate and apply vocationally relevant concepts associated with the operational and strategic management of financial, human and physical resources within the context of the Hospitality industry.
  • Use this course to develop a thoughtful, reflective and self-directed approach to skills, knowledge and understanding to a management career in the Hospitality industry.
