Overview
This stimulating course aims to give you an excellent understanding of how private and public organisations work together within the leisure sector. Through the course, you’ll develop management and business skills that are essential to get ahead in the leisure industry.

In your second and final year, you’ll have a choice of modules, allowing you to tailor your degree to suit your interests.

Placement
Our students have the option to undertake a minimum of 40 weeks placement (1600 hours). You may be exempt from the placement year if you have appropriate work experience or current occupation.

The leisure industry is among the fastest-growing sectors of the global economy, there is a high demand for professional skilled managers. Employment opportunities exist in both the public and private sector, upon graduation you may be able to join one of the many operators within this arena.

Based on the entrepreneurial skills developed on this course, graduates will also have the opportunity to set up their own niche business, in areas such as coaching, training, and advising.

You may also wish to undertake postgraduate study to specialise in a subject you've already studied or to explore something new.

Entry requirements
You will need 112 UCAS tariff points from Level 3 qualifications. These can include:
A Levels at grade B, B and C, or above
BTEC Extended Diploma with Distinction, Merit, Merit
Access to HE Diploma
You also need GCSE English and Maths (grade A*-C) or Level 2 equivalents.
If you do not hold the above qualifications but possess relevant work experience, you are invited to apply. Your application will be considered on an individual basis.
