About this course

WAn Access to Higher Education course or a BTEC Extended Diploma will be considered as equivalent to two full Level 3 qualifications.
GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English or a Level 2 equivalent (e.g. Functional Skills).
We also welcome applications from mature students (21+ years) and those without formal qualifications but with demonstrable passion for and practical experience in the music industry.

Year 2: 4/5 modules – 3 compulsory and 1/2 optional

Year 3: 3 modules – 2 compulsory and 1 optional

You will learn to navigate a constantly evolving backdrop of business models, revenue streams and expectations to engage directly with brands and fans.

By the end of the first year we will get you job ready with essential knowledge of the structure, history, emerging trends and practical workings of the music Industry. In second year you’ll go deeper into the three main sectors of recordings, publishing and touring. In your final year you will learn the disciplines of working with creative artists and harnessing the insights available from data in the streaming music era.
