Why choose this course?
The curriculum is at the forefront of the latest research and debate, giving you insight into today’s issues, from globalisation to social movements and cyber society.

You will gain professional experience during a work-based module. Our students typically gain this in social, legal and welfare-related fields such as:
youth offending

welfare support.
As well as aiding your studies, this enhances your chances of finding relevant employment after graduation.

There will also be the opportunity to travel abroad to learn about other societies and cultures.

Your degree can take you anywhere, but some of the most popular careers for our Sociology graduates include teaching, working with charities and journalism. You may also wish to undertake postgraduate study to specialise in a subject you’ve already studied, or to explore something new.
