Subjects

For each 8 point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, residential schools, or examinations.

If you are studying four subjects per session, this is equivalent to a full-time job. The workload for some subjects may vary as a result of approved course design.

As a Charles Sturt University student, throughout your course you have a responsibility to continue to develop skills in English language, literacy and numeracy as appropriate to your discipline. This ongoing development will enable you to effectively participate in your course and graduate prepared to enter the workforce.

Bachelor of Liberal Studies (Arts)

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.

Associate Degree in Liberal Studies (Arts) [Exit Point Only]

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 128 points.

University Certificate in Liberal Studies (Arts) [Exit Point Only]

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.Full subject list
BACHELOR OF LIBERAL STUDIES (ARTS)

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 192 points (normally equal to 24 subjects).

• Students must satisfactorily complete COM120 Reasoning and Writing.
• Students must satisfactorily complete 1 indigenous studies subject - either IKC101 or IKC102 .
• Remaining subjects are chosen from within the Faculty of Arts & Education, with up to 8 subjects (64 points) taken from outside the Faculty of Arts and Education if desired.
• Students must do no more than 10 x Level 1 subjects (80 points) and at least 5 x Level 3 subjects (40 points).
