Economy examines the behaviour of and interaction between economic entities both separately and collectively, and is inseparable from mathematics and the application of new technologies. What makes Economic Engineering study programme unique is economic studies as a mechanism for economic cognitive engineering process in the conditions of complicated environment that promotes the need to apply advanced technical science research measures and methods for the analysis and design of economic processes.
Economics Engineering = economic science + economic (economy branches, institutions) processes engineering + economic management.
This is the only study programme in Lithuania in the field of economic studies that not only provides studies in two languages of instruction (Lithuanian or English), but is based on the application of comprehensive mathematical (quantitative) research methods.
The graduates of the study programme have the possibility to obtain a dual diploma (VGTU diploma in Economics Engineering and South Korea Kyungpook National University diploma in International Economic Relations).
