Who The Course is for
The course aims to introduce students to the basic techniques of book-keeping. Students will produce an integrated assignment taking book-keeping to the trial balance stage which will help to relate book-keeping knowledge to real-life situations.
Course Content
set up a nominal accounts list
- calculate VAT
- extract VAT from invoice
- complete day books for sales and purchases
- complete Sales and Purchase Ledgers
- complete an Analysed Cash Book
- complete a Bank Reconciliation
- complete double entry book-keeping up to trial balance stage for an integrated assignment
- identify Assets, Liabilities, Revenue and Expenses.

Qualifications Gained
Candidates will receive Level 1 Introduction to Book-keeping following successful completion of the course and assessment.
