Basic Vehicle Maintenance

Have passion or interest in cars? Fancy learning how to car out basic repairs and maintenance? This  6 week course is a great starting point to introduce the skills and knowledge to keep motoring cost down and maintain the safety of your vehicle .

Training in our specialist Motor Vehicle Technology Centre, our experienced tutors will help you to become familiar with basic vehicles checks, including wheels and tyres, braking systems, engine, lighting, as well as tips and techniques used by professional mechanics in a fun and enjoyable way.

This course allows you to reduce your car costs by carrying out basic repairs yourself, as well as learning how to carry out an MOT pre-checks. This short course may also inspire you to look at a career in the Motor industry.

• Workshop Health and Safety
• Pre Journey Checks
• Basic Vehicle Health checks
• Visual inspection of braking and suspension areas
• Bulb Changes
• Wheels and tyres
• Basic Servicing

The course will be made up of 2 hours Practical and 1 hour basic Theory.
