Basic Voice

In this group class discover how simple vocal control is through elementary anatomical knowledge, relaxation and release, plus imagination. Using the body naturally, your vocal instrument becomes flexible and exciting. Technical control can enhance all communication skills including laughing, crying, shouting and screaming. Vocal selfindulgence is disastrous - for everyone. You will also pick up tips for your own personal vocal/articulation warm-up.

Caryll Ziegler

Caryll was taught Shakespeare by John Dover Wilson, founder of the Arden
Shakespeare. She spent two years with Joan Littlewood's Theatre Workshop Company, set up the Voice Department of the London Studio Centre and was one of the founding Principals at ALRA. She was Head of Voice at Webber Douglas from 1997-2006. She has worked on Channel 4's Faking It and her clients have included Laura Michelle Kelly, Minnie Driver, Donna Air and most recently Stockard Channing.

Date: Tuesdays, 10.30-11.30

You may attend as many or as few weekly classes as you wish, although a regular commitment to each discipline is more beneficial.
