Beauty Therapy NVQ 3 Entry Requirements

• An NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy with a satisfactory reference and equivalent English and preferably Maths and Science OR
• A relevant equivalent Level 2 qualification with equivalent English and preferably Maths and Science OR
• Appropriate industry experience.

Entry is subject to a successful interview. You will need to buy the salon uniform and equipment.

Key Skills will form part of your final qualifications.

Students have the opportunity to gain additional qualifications such as Sauna and Steam, Cosmetic Tanning and Body Wrapping.

Students will be required to follow a strict salon dress code.

Assessment Continual assessment through practical assessments in salons, written tests, assignments, portfolio of evidence and oral questions. Progression To further study such as the Diploma in Holistic Therapy or NVQ 4 in Business Management for Hairdressers and Beauty Therapists or to employment at hotels, local salons, health farms and cruise liners. Work Experience Students gain experience in the beauty salons on campus and at local salons.
