Assessment:
Assessment is carried out by an assessor observing your practical work and questioning you about the work you are doing. Some aspects of your work will be covered by simulated tasks, oral questions and assignments, as units also have seven mandatory written papers. As the assessment becomes more familiar, you will be able to take control in the planning of your own assessments together with the development of your portfolio (which will contain evidence of your work). You will be supported and guided by your personal tutor at each stage of the course. The assessor will watch you working and assess your performance against national standards. You will be asked to undertake particular activities in a work-related environment (ie the College`s own beauty salon) and may be asked to provide some clients for assessment purposes.

Successful completion of this course will allow you to continue your studies in related areas such as reflexology, advanced massage or sports therapy.
