Who is the course for?
This course is aimed at students who have successfully completed Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2 and have shown the commitment required to complete Beauty Therapy Level 3.

What is the course about?

Treat Clients Using Aromatherapy Body Massage
Change and Maintain the Appearance of Nails Using Artificial Nail Techniques

Will I need anything else?
You will be expected to provide an overall, sensible full shoes, Beauty Kit, Artificial Nail Kit, Anatomy & Physiology text book and a Level 3 text book. A camera needs to be available to produce photographic evidence and a file for your portfolio.

How long & often do I attend?
This course is offered as a one year programme and requires attendance of several sessions per week, including one evening a week. You will be required to attend for a minimum of 90% of the course hours.

How will I be assessed?
For each unit you will need to type an assignment and complete an end of unit test. For all practical units you will be assessed in a realistic working environment. Evidence in the form of treatment plans and photographs will need to be presented in a portfolio of evidence. You will also be required to attend on the day of the External Verifier's visit. In addition there will be an external test.

What opportunities will this lead to?
On completion of this course you may consider Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Therapies, Hairdressing NVQ Level 1 & 2, Sports Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Theatrical & Media Makeup, Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy.

Students gaining Beauty Therapy NVQ Levels 2 & 3 can expect opportunities in industries such as health farms/spas, hotels, leisure centres, cruise liners, air lines, beauty salons and clinics
