Course review:
Good general education including literacy, numeracy, interpersonal skills (good written and spoken English) are required for this course.
Throughout this course you will learn about the condition of the skin and nails on the feet. You will learn how to use paraffin wax, thermal boots and other pedicure equipment, as well as classical massage techniques for the foot and leg. You will also learn about the contra-indications to foot care treatments, as well as the physiological benefits of the treatment. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy and foot care and to provide you with a solid foundation for further learning.
The course will be taught in practical sessions and time spent at home will be required to complete practical tests and practice skills learnt.
Assessment is continuous and is carried out in the form of observation of practical skills, oral questions, written assignments and multiple choice tests.
Course duration and fee are yet to be finalised but a deposit of £100 is required to secure a place on the course.
