Following several years working in high end fashion glossy magazines, Arianna then spent time using her skills in the costume department of some well known films including Bridget Jones Diary 2 and Harry Potter. Having also completed a BA degree in Historical Costume Construction, Arianna now spends much of her time creating bespoke wedding dresses and headwear. She has an undeniable passion and love for costume, fashion and her craft.

Learn how to set-up, thread and use a sewing machine in an evening. Plus, we'll utilise your newly found talents by making a nifty plastic bag holder.
We'll build your skills and knowledge from the ground up so you walk away with the confidence and know-how to use a sewing machine comfortably on your own.
During the 2-hour session you will learn a range of skills including:
- Threading the machine
- Winding a bobbin
- Learning the different machine functions
- Sewing seams
- Changing a needle
- Sewing straight lines, curves and corners
- Finishing seams and reverse stitching
- Machine hemming
- Understanding fabrics, grain lines and seam allowances
- Decorative stitching
- Machine safety
- Working with elastic
All machines, materials and equipment are provided, although if you would like to bring your own sewing machine to learn on, you are welcome to.
