The course will introduce you to applications of judgement and decision-making research in areas such as consumer behaviour, politics, sports, economics and health, and will provide you with a firm basis in both the theory and practice of cognitive science and decision-making.
You will be introduced to a variety of decision-making methods and techniques, and also be trained to communicate the results of decision analysis. The central emphasis of the course, however, is on developing your ability to apply appropriate advanced research techniques. In doing so, the course provides an excellent preparation for occupations involving data analysis and empirical research in the financial sector, private organisations, government, research institutes and academia.

About this course
In this career-focused course you will explore and apply theories of behavioural decision-making science to various workplace and business contexts. This will enable you to develop skills in research, communication and critical analysis. The course will provide you with an advanced knowledge and training in the research methods, design and statistical analysis used in Behavioural Economics and Decision Science research.
An Honours degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent qualification, in any subject
Applicants with other appropriate professional qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis
If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
