Course programme

Move past most of the competition with a guaranteed interview by Physician Assistant admissions staff. You can apply to JWU’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) as a student in JWU’s Biology or Health Science bachelor’s degree program if you meet academic and experiential eligibility requirements.

To be considered, you must

  • Submit an application to the JWU PA program through the Central Application service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) by September 1 of the calendar year prior to intended matriculation, as well as
    º a letter of recommendation from JWU Biology faculty and
    º official GRE scores
  • Achieve a minimum CASPA-calculated cumulative GPA of 3.30 and BCP (biology/chemistry/physics) GPA of 3.30, with no grade below C
  • Accumulate at least 250 hours of direct patient care (paid or volunteer) in an allopathic or osteopathic medical setting
  • Complete PA shadowing
