This module will consider the ways in which systems of the body interact in order to maintain homeostasis. You will be introduced to the anatomy and physiology of the human body and the organisation of body structures and systems. The module will also consider communication systems within the body and the protective and survival mechanisms that work together to maintain a 'healthy' state. Aim: To introduce you to the anatomy and physiology of the human body, its body structures and systems.

This course will be taught at Wolverhampton City Campus.
Placements for Mental Health Nursing at City Campus with be either Black Country Mental Health Partnership NHS Foundation Trust or Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Black Country Mental Health Partnership NHS Foundation Trust covers Walsall, Dudley, Wolverhampton and Sandwell areas and you will be expected to travel within these areas.
Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust covers Staffordshire and Stoke areas.
Placements for Mental Health Nursing at Telford Campus will be across Staffordshire and Shropshire and you will be expected to travel.
Placements make up a large part of your course and shifts can be early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and Bank Holidays so it is essential that you have considered how you will travel to your placements before applying.
