At the end of each unit, students will be able to fulfil the requirements set by OCR for that unit and so will be able to sit the appropriate examination or assessment. It is possible to achieve a pass in any individual unit or combination of units. However, to achieve a Diploma, the highest level qualification at this level, all 5 units need to be passed. Suitable for: The course is suitable for beginners to bookkeeping who may want to keep books accurately for their own business or to work for others. It is also suitable for those people with some knowledge of bookkeeping who want to gain a recognised qualification.
About this course
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. For the manual bookkeeping units the student must be able to perform simple calculations (addition and subtraction) using a calculator. For the computerised units, a basic knowledge of the PC is required, including file management,

Course programme
This combination of units is designed for individuals who wish to gain bookkeeping skills to Level 1 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). There are both manual bookkeeping and computerised bookkeeping options to choose from. Sage accounting software is taught and used for the computerised bookkeeping units.
