This course will benefit anyone and everyone seeking a professional level of recognition in Computerised Bookkeeping and Payroll and serves as a comprehensive introduction to the world of financial management. It will provide the skills and level of competence necessary for those seeking to make bookkeeping their career. The Complete Accounts Professional course will suit beginners and will formalise and enhance the existing skills of part-trained or manual bookkeepers and will lead to a range of industry qualifications recognised in the UK, Europe and beyond.

The Course provides a working version of Sage Instant Accounts, Sage Instant Payroll. A working version of Sage Line 50, will be given for as long as is necessary to complete the training. It will provide all you need to manage your own business, or perhaps to start a business managing the books of others.

Certification with the International Association of Bookkeepers

The objective is for you to become IAB certified. Each stage of the learning process covers the syllabus offered by the IAB (The International Association of Bookkeepers) which will equip and prepare you to take the following diploma and certificate examinations:

  • Computerised Bookkeeping (IAB Certificate in Computerised Bookkeeping)
  • Computerised Payroll (IAB Certificate in Computerised Payroll)
  • Small Business Financial Management (IAB Diploma in Small Business Financial Management)

At this stage the student will undertake various computer based tasks to become competent in windows skills before progressing to software specific training. Students may choose to undertake this section using one of the following Operating Systems:

It this stage of the course you would be studying the Sage Line 50 program. By now you would have an advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounts which would make you eligible to be enrolled on the program allowing you to use Sage Line 50 software.

The exercises on this part of the course are of an advanced nature and you would need to complete the first part of the course on advance accounting and bookkeeping concepts before moving on to the tackling the hand-on-training section.

Optional Computer Based Training to reinforce the Syllabus

At the conclusion of the Theory section of Small Business Financial Management,the student may apply to enter for the SBFM Diploma. The examination process consists of a series of Tutor Marked Assignments which will contribute to the overall examination.

Students may choose to undertake this course with or without practical classbased training. The student will not require practical training before the successful completion of the Computerised Bookkeeping, Computerised Payroll, Small Business Financial Management and Sage Line 50 sections of the course.

Practical training is designed to reinforce the syllabus and answer any questions the student may have on specific areas as a prelude to the final Diploma examination.

All arrangement for the use of computers for practical training will be carried out by the college. Details of convenient venues, dates and times for training will be arranged by the college and advised at this point.
