Course programme

You will learn how to make delicious baked bread, using the basic techniques of bread making. We will take you through all the steps of bread baking, what to look out for when you knead and prove your dough, and simple tips and tricks so that your bread baking will be a success. The day will cover various mixing and kneading techniques of the dough, and shaping and baking of the loaves. Breads on the day may include a white loaf, then more exciting ingredients and you can choose from many varieties of flours, such as wholemeal, malt or rye.Students will learn through demonstration and hands on teaching, with some recipes for you to take home and try.
