Bricklaying NVQ 2

What will you be learning?
Gain craft-qualified status and an internationally recognised qualification.

During the course you will learn and practice a wide range of skills in bricklaying which will allow you to go onto further studies or enter employment in the construction industry.

Assessment is carried out both on and off-site; evidence from site is collected and signed off by the work-based recorder and assessor. You must also pass practical tests and an examination.

What happens when you have finished?
After you have successfully completed this course you will gain qualified bricklayer status and can progress onto the Bricklaying NVQ 3 or an Advanced Apprenticeship.

• You are in receipt of, or are an un-waged dependent of someone currently in receipt of any of the following "income-based" benefits:
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)

  • Income Support
  • Working Tax Credit (your assessed household income needs to be less than 15,276 per year (amount subject to change)
  • Housing Benefit
  • Council Tax Benefit (excluding the 25% single person reduction)
  • Pension Credit - Guaranteed only

  first full Level 2 qualification, whatever your age.
• You are aged 19-24 on the 31st of August prior to the start of your course and studying for your
