Advantages of studying here

We create opportunities for business, for individuals and for the industry, we support new start-ups, we link designers with manufacturers, and we foster sustainable business growth, training over 600 learners per year in all aspects of the trade and adding jewellery businesses to London's economy, we are the only jewellery manufacturing dedicated training provider in the south of England and Hatton Garden. The Academy also engages with the local community, working with some of the most deprived community groups in London, providing opportunities for people to return to work and enter the trade.

Areas of specialisation

“Holts Academy are leaders in the field of training and development." Sophie Byatt, director, National Training Awards "Parts of the jewellery trade are dying as specialised skills are being lost and forgotten.. What we need is practical training that addresses the needs of the jewellery business. And that's exactly what Holts Academy has on offer."Joanna Hardy, director of jewellery, Sotheby's “Studying computer aided design at Holts Academy has reinvigorated my business. I have gained a number of new clients purely on the back of my new skills and extended the team ”David Valle – Gala Creations“ Holts Academy has an essential presence with Hatton Garden, at a time when it seems that UK manufacturers are relocating, they provide active support to students and professionals – they make it that bit easier to be part of the jewellery trade” William Cheshire

Description

Born out of the industry in 1999 from a family run business in Hatton Garden that has been trading since 1948, we understand the industry because we are part of the industry. As a not for profit social enterprise we are engaged in the sector for the passion of adult education and training and the very real impact it can have on creating business growth. We are located in the heart of the UK jewellery industry, Hatton Garden. This provides a total trade experience. Our training does not take place in classrooms. All our facilities are built and equipped as real workshops, replicating those of a real life manufacturer. Coupled with the calibre of tutors, learning at the Academy is as close as you can get to learning on the job.
