About BSc Economics
We are pioneers of the innovative 'core econ' approach to teaching economics, which seeks to reconnect the study of economics with our experience of real life.
A broad range of units gives you the opportunity to study varied areas, which may include:
environmental economics
game theory
globalisation and development
the history of economic thought
industrial economics
international economics
labour economics
macroeconomic theory and policy
courses from other departments within the school.
In all three years you will study econometrics, which involves the analysis of economic relationships using empirical data. Econometrics builds on ideas taken from statistics, maths and economic theory and is a key part of all our degrees.
