The European Forsenic Institute is publishing on emagister.co.uk the course in BSc (Hons) Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation. The institute offers a full time 3-year undergraduate programme following the European Qualification Framework (EQF).
The course is delivered through interactive Digital Campus: students are connected to their lecturers and materials at their fingertips and can start building their foundation in Techniques of Investigation, Criminology, Law and other theoretical aspects of all courses.
Students can practice their lectures at the state-of-the-art laboratory at Malta Life Sciences Park for their practical sessions to gain hands on experience in Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Biology and Chemistry, Fingerprint, Blood Splatter and Ballistics Analysis, among them.
The students are also exposed to a range of pressing issues in the field of forensics such as Technology (Audio, Visual, Web and Data Science), and also Research Methods and Professional Ethics. Our diverse team of Academic Staff include professionals with experience in National Police Forces, the Fire Brigade, National Courts, Private Investigators and Industry Experts.
The Higher Education Institution is fully accredited by the NCFHE in Malta and all our students are registered as Student Members of the Chartered Society of Forensic Science UK.

Our innovative Higher Education Institution provides accredited courses to students and professionals in the field of Forensic Sciences. Our mission is to connect students directly to experts and practising professionals in the forensics field to ensure that their foundation is built upon knowledge, skills and competences required of a forensic science practitioner at the highest professional standards.
Our application process is performed online and is open to all.
The Institute welcomes all applicants and operates a fair and transparent admission process; the admission office selects the future students on the basis of merit, ability and potential.
Entry requirements (minimum):
- Maltese Matriculation Certification in relevant subjects (science and math preferred) or international equivalent - EQF Level 4 (example: Italian High School Diploma with minimum grade 60/100)
- Two pure science subjects in Malta or international equivalent high school (EQF Level 3)
- Any international recognised English Level Certification (minimum Level CEFR B1)

Course programme
Students are connected directly to experts and practicing professionals to ensure that their foundation is built upon knowledge, skills and competences required of a forensic science practitioner at the highest professional standards.
Students will learn different modules, such as Techniques of Investigation and Intelligence from one of the most prominent Forensic Intelligence experts, with 40 years of experience at the Metropolitan Police - Scotland Yard; Forensic Chemistry with a member of the Scientific Police in Lisbon and Forensic Biology. Students will also learn how to correctly process a crime scene with a practical session and how to handle and analyse evidences.
Part of the programme focuses on Computer Forensics, Mobile Forensics & Cell Site Analysis and Web & Open Source Intelligence (how to extract information from devices such as computers, mobile devices and how to find informaton online).
Other modules: Ballistics & Firearms, Fire & Explosion Investigation, Road Accident Investigation, Product Counterfaiting.
