Summary: This one year top up from a Foundation Degree is designed for those who wish to continue their education in the field of Health Studies








Course description: The aim of this course is to enable students to develop generic and transferable skills that are relevant to care work in order to improve  their employability  within the health and social care sector. It will provide a higher education qualification that enables progression into senior posts within the sector.









Entry requirements: Students entering the programme will normally have 240 credits from a Foundation degree (or equivalent).
BSc (Hons) students on entry will normally have an FdSc from UEA (City College Norwich) - with appropriate knowledge and skills relevant to the course. Applications are also invited from other institutions.
Applications from students whose first language is not English are welcome. We require evidence of proficiency in English (including writing, speaking, listening and reading), the required minimum is:

IELTS (SELT): 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 in all components)

Or GCSE English A*-C

Career progression: The programme is designed to enable progression into senior posts in the healthcare sector. The modules will enable students to develop their knowledge of the sector and scientific processes and carry out an extended project in an area of individual interest. In addition, the leadership module will prepare students for managerial roles through the study of and practical application of theory.
