This programme has been designed to meet the needs of an expanding landscape and countryside management industry by equipping students with a diverse range of knowledge and skills which will enable them to gain a solid foundation in ecological and environmental science, sustainability and habitat management and creation, incorporating the legislation and policies which govern the industry and conservation today. The diversity of the course will enable you to develop your knowledge by learning about the development of new and existing landscapes and their long term maintenance. The course includes practical conservation skills, landscape management, public access and tourism. The course embraces all elements of conservation and wildlife management with both hands-on practicals, including ecological surveys, and theory based lessons. By the end of the programme you will have gained a solid and diverse appreciation of the issues surrounding UK wildlife, ecological theory and landscape management techniques.
