Music and mathematics have a history as old as civilisation itself and this unique programme will allow you to combine your love of them both. You will be able to study Mathematics at an advanced level while deepening your performance ability on your instrument of choice or expanding your knowledge and appreciation of music.
This BSc degree opens a range of careers, which require traditional mathematical background, from technology to the banking sector, while allowing you to pursue other options in education, music and technology or media.

As well as the compulsory modules listed below, students are required to take TWO MODULES consisting of ONE PAIR chosen from the Pure Mathematics pair ( Group Theory and Geometry and Topology ), the Applied Mathematics pair (Introduction to Applied Maths and Applications of Vector Calculus ) or the Statistics pair (Statistical Distribution Theory and Statistical Methods I ) together with THREE MUSIC modules.
