This is a demanding study programme is designed for students committed to persuing a career in the travel and tourism industry. The programme is well recognised by employers and also provides a route to Higher Education. This is a full time, 180 credit , two year vocational course that encorporates the Subsidiary Diploma (which is a one year option equivalent to an A Level).
This qualification is equivalent to 3 A'levels and is widely recognised by industry and Universities and taught within a grade 1 award winning department.
About this course
Employment within the travel and tourism industry working for a travel agency, tour operator, tourist information centre, airline, cruise line, or in a wide variety of other Tourism fields. Alternatively, you may progress to Higher Education to study for a Foundation Degree, degree or HND.

This course provides a number of opportunities to experience the tourism industry at first hand through educational visits, visiting speakers, and the practical experience of our team of lecturers, all of whom have had many years working in various aspects of the Tourism industry.
You will require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C including English and maths grades 9-4 (formerly A*-C). Alternatively successful completion of a relevant Level 2 qualification and have achieved a Level 2 Functional Skill in English and maths.
