Construction and the Built Environment - Built Environment
BTEC First Diploma in Built Environment(2010/2011)
Study Method:
The various study methods during this one year, full-time course include formal class meetings, tutorials, assignments and project work. There is also a work experience placement period.
Duration :One year full time (An application form and interview is required for entry onto this course)
Who the Course is For:
It is intended for those who are fully committed to a construction industry career. The course is particularly suited to candidates wishing to pursue their future as architectural technicians.
Assessment:
Course work is evaluated by the course team, under the supervision of the BTEC Verifier. A number of different assessment approaches are employed, tailored to individual units and to the course as a whole. They include assignments, phase tests and end tests.
Course Leads To:
By gaining the Diploma, students have:
Improved opportunities in the employment field
Progression to a part-time BTEC National Certificate course.
Entry to the National Diploma in Construction which can lead to a variety of careers in architecture, construction management, building surveying, quanitity surveying, land surveying, civil and structural engineering.
