In order to qualify for this course, students must; *Have a minimum of eight GCSE points (e.g. four GCSEs at grade F). *Other qualifications such as Entry Level Certificate may be accepted. *Attend an informal interview and a satisfactory reference from either a school/ college or an employer will be required.

I.T. at Work - BTEC Introductory Certificate
What will I study?
The aim of this course is to give students an introduction to the knowledge and skills that are needed for a career in IT. The course also gives students a chance to develop personal qualities that will be important when at work.

How can I progress?
This qualification allows students to continue with the Introductroy Diploma in IT at Work by completing the other four units or could go on to study other subjects such as Business. The units also prepare students for employment as a computer user.

Whilst studying towards this qualification the following modules will be covered; Core units are; *Starting Work in the IT Industry *Developing skills in the IT Industry. Additional units are; *Using the Internet Better use of the Internet, *Personal effectiveness Being a better employee.
