Course Content: Throughout this course you will become familiar with the broad range of Art and Design disciplines. The content of the course will focus upon drawing and painting techniques, printmaking, textiles, ceramics, 3D design, graphics, and computer art.

Special Features: All Art and Design students study in our purpose-built Art school at the Ashton campus. This allows students at all levels to share ideas and have access to work by students in other creative areas.

Course Format: Student work is assessed on a continuous basis with students completing assignments and coursework, which are compiled into a portfolio.

Progression: Successful students can progress onto the BTEC Level 2 First Diploma in Art and Design at the College. The course has been designed for you to develop a range of skills and improve confidence and organisational skills, which will be useful within future education or employment.
