  • I went back to college as a mature student after having been out of school for years.The support i got from tutors was amazing.They made learning and understanding what i was doing easier.On top of it all i discovered i was pregnant with my forth child when i had alredy started the course and i got a lot of support.In all the subjects i did there was more explanation,lots of material to help me in studying.It was a great experience.

What I would highlight: I went back to college as a mature student after having been out of school for years.The support i got from tutors was amazing.They made learning and understanding what i was doing easier.On top of it all i discovered i was pregnant with my forth child when i had alredy started the course and i got a lot of support.In all the subjects i did there was more explanation,lots of material to help me in studying.It was a great experience.
What could be improved: I really wouldn't change anything about how the course is run as i was satisfied with how they did everything.

Course Content

This is a one year full time course, which aims to introduce you to the stimulating world of art and design developing a creative perspective, preparing you for application for entry onto the Level 2 course. This is a lively, innovative course that trains students in both the creativity and technical aspects of art and design. Throughout the course you will study a range of disciplines which will introduce you to general art and design, multimedia and performing arts. You will also study functional skills in Maths and English. You will also be expected to present an exhibition of your work at the end of the academic year. There is no formal examination but final major projects are marked externally by Edexcel. All other work is assessed internally.
WHAT IS IT WORTH?
The Diploma itself is a nationally recognised qualification that is equal to two GCSE’s and allows you to progress onto a Level 2 First Diploma course.
