3 Core Units
Starting Work in Engineering
Working in Engineering
Developing Skills in Engineering
2 Personal Skills Units from:
Personal Effectiveness
Social Responsibility at Work
Financial Management
3 Optional Units from:
Planning and Making a Machined Product
Assembling Mechanical Components and Joining Using Welding Techniques
Electronic Assembly and Electrical Wiring
Routine Servicing of Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Equipment

Keyskills in Application of Number, IT and Communication will be included.

A variety of teaching and learning activities are used including practical workshops, projects, lectures and tutorials.
The qualification is equivalent to 4 GCSE's D to G.

Assessment procedure:
Assessment is based on coursework, assignments and projects.
