Engineering Training Centre North East has a number of vacancies still available on their training programmes for 16 – 18 year olds.
Pre-Apprenticeship Programme
Aimed at those with Grade C and above in English and Maths. This course combines the hands on elements of the Performing Engineering Operations Level 2 qualification with the technical knowledge of the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering.

What Training Do I Receive?There are three main components to your training programme:
- You will participate in a programme of hands-on training aimed at equipping you with a wide range of basic engineering skills to a standard which earns you a nationally recognised practical qualification in engineering operations.
- You will attend a college of further education on a block or day release basis to study for a recognised engineering qualification.
- On successful completion of your basic training, you will join a company and work towards a Level 3 National Vocational Qualification which will be structured to meet your particular job.
