This qualification will prepare you to work with children between birth and five years, with knowledge of children up to seven years. You will study units that inlcude the introducing the role of the early years practitioner, legislation, frameworks and professional practice, play, development and learning for school readiness and professional development.

Course programme
Entry Requirements
You should be at least16 years old with a minimum of four GCSEs at Grade D/3 or above to include English and maths. The full time 16-18 & HE courses cover DBS as part of the induction.
Delivery and Assessment
All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods. This could include direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task set by CACHE. Some learning outcomes within this qualification will require assessment in a real work environment.
Progression
This qualification allows progression on to the CACHE Level 3 Early Years Educator qualifications and other Level 3 qualifications relating to childcare.
