Whilst studying the level 2 programme you will be developing skills in English and Mathematics and will gain separate awards for these. English and Mathematics are essential for progression into further education and employment. All learners are required to take or work towards GCSEs in English and Mathematics or Functional Skills English and Mathematics qualifications as part of their IT qualification, if they have not achieved this already at GCSE grades A*-C.
This will allow learners the opportunity to enhance and reinforce skills related to these areas in naturally occurring and relevant work related contexts. There will be a continuous assessment of these throughout your level 2 programme with final examinations towards the end of the academic year.
